The question now is simple. Who should be brought in to replace JMS, Coipel, and Marko Djurdjevic? Together, this trio has helped boost Thor's popularity and made the series one of Marvel's top sellers. Any potential replacements are going to have to be able to continue their momentum while also blazing new trails for Thor. And ideally, this new creative team would be able to help bring the book back to a more consistent shipping schedule.
So far, Marvel hasn't revealed the new creative team. We imagine an announcement will be forthcoming at one of the remaining summer conventions. As we wait for news, we've already started to think long and hard on which creators we'd most like to see take over the series. In this editorial feature, both Jesse and Phillips offer up three choices for new creative teams. Each pairing of writer and artist would have the right stuff to take over for JMS and keep Thor riding high atop Marvel's library of books.
